Laura,
Brad told me that the jackets are completed. He hasn't been down to the shop since last Thursday but he will be heading down there this afternoon to pick them up and put them in the mail.
They were finished last week but he wanted to wait a few days to make sure that they didn't change colors like the rest of the prints did. Brad wanted to inspect them personally before they were put in the mail.
So you should be receiving them by Friday. I will send you a confirmation & tracking number later today.
Thank you,
Kat Ayla

Laura,
Brad apologizes for not getting back with you.
This is Kat and I am responding for Brad. He has been out of the office and spending most of his days at the shop this entire week and has not been able to check his emails. His laptop is on the fritz.
I am checking them for him this evening and trying to respond to as many as possible.
Brad said that he called on the jackets today and he is picking them up tomorrow along with the transfers. He mentioned something about the guy printing them hasn't returned his phone call.
He knows how you feel on this matter and is trying to resolve it as soon as possible. The finished product should turn out much better than the first batch. For some reason the fabric on that particular jacket is very tricky.
The pigment in the jacket migrates very badly when you silk-screen it and you can only apply one layer of ink. That is caused by it having a liner. The outer layer does not stick to the palette and moves around once the screen has been lifted, which makes it impossible to align it properly to apply a second cost.
You need a very expensive specialty gadget to secure it properly. We definitely learned something on this project.
Then it came to trying transfers... we found that many of these ended up looking like the original order. The jacket looked great once it was applied. Then 2 days later the white was muddy looking.
Certain transfers, which we are applying now will work but it has to be at a particular type & temperature to work properly on this fabric. I believe that the people that have the jackets now found that out the hard way and ruined some in the process. The last time that Brad actually spoke with him, he mentioned how he could not afford to mess-up on anymore jackets and still make money on the order.
We have a very nice transfer machine at the shop & our in-house printer is the one that originally figured out how to make them work properly on this fabric. So that is why Brad is picking up the jackets tomorrow and bringing them back to our shop to complete the job. He will have them to the shop on Monday and should be able to have them completed in the morning and off to you in by afternoon.
We apologize again for this fiasco...
Thank you,
Kat Ayla

Brad,
This is the third or forth email I have sent asking about our jackets and to give me the contact information for the person doing the jackets.
What is your update? Mahalo.
