Darcy - thanks for the stats! It's fun to see what we did in a totally
different format.
All I can say is....it was a Great Adventure!!
Thank you to All who shared the waters!
"Way to go" to All of us who stepped further (as in "paddled) than they had
ever gone on water!
Thank you Darcy and Laura for your patience and persistence making this
happen!
Carin

PS - We were back on Sauvie's Island today and went to some of the
stops/spots from the landside - that was an additional fun experience for
me! And we enjoyed the abundance of food and produce that the Island brings!

Thanks to everyone who made this paddle possible. It was everything I had
hoped for an more. The Fire Dragons were real troopers to do this paddle.
Every time we stopped I would look over at the guys boat and see more of
their fingers with white tape on them. By the end of the paddle their hands
were almost all white tape but they were still smiling. : ) Throughout the
paddle Carin kept reminding me how lucky we were for everything from the
weather, the eagle we saw, the flowers that were talking to us, nessie who
made a brief appearance, strange wood sculptures stuck in the numerous wing
damns, the numerous moorages, and on & on. She was very inspiring.
Everybody was really amazing.
For those interested in stats from the women's GPS
54.77 miles
10 hours 38 minutes total time on the water
2:12 of rest breaks
8 hours 26 minutes paddling time
6.5 mph rough average
Thank you for seeing this through with me. I had a blast. Attached are
screenshots from my Garmin gps.
Darcy
