[Paddlers] MHCC Club Permits and Your Opportunity to purchase Small Boat "AISPP" permit through MHCC

MHCC Members!

If you are an Oregon Resident and a small boat owner paddling and racing in
Oregon waters (yes, including the Columbia River, Snake River and the
Willamette River) you will need to purchase the AISSP (Aquatic Invasive
Species Prevention Permit) and bring it with you when paddling your boat at
all times. Law in effect Jan 1, 2010.
 General Rule is: Bring ONE permit per boat



MHCC encourages all members who paddle privately owned small boats to
acquire a Permit (see below instructions on how).




 CLUB BOATS OC6 and OC1/OC2:   MHCC has purchased permits for the Club Boats
we use for practice and races.

For the MHCC OC6: Permits will be permanently attached to each boat at Seat
6, laminated, and contained in a pocket where they can be easily produced if
asked for by the Coast Guard.

   For the MHCC OC1/OC2: You will need to bring a Small Boat Club Permit
along when you paddle (all practices). The permits will be available in the
Club House for individual Club members' use when paddling Club boats.
Whistle, PFD and Permit are now required on all small boats at ALL times on
the water.  Please see future posted instructions for check out!


 INDIVIDUAL OWNERS of SMALL BOATS:   MHCC has purchased a Discount Package
of Permits that we will offer to each member while they last for a
discounted price of $5 instead of $7.  You will need this Permit each time
you paddle your personal boat on the Columbia River, Snake River or the
Willamette River.

Carin will have the permits available at the dock at every practice for
purchase starting Monday Jan 25 . Please bring your $5 to get the permit for
your individually owned boat.
